Tiger Woods will attend Dubai Desert Classic 2006

The legendary golfer Tiger Woods announced that he will participate in the Dubai Desert Classic Golf Tournament, which will be held at the Emirates Golf Club from February 2 to 5 next year. The world-famous athlete will make a third attempt to win at one of the most famous golf courses in the world, which he did not submit to during the tournaments of 2001 and 2004. Mr. Woods said in an interview with the Dubai-based Gulf News newspaper that he was extremely pleased with the new trip to hospitable Dubai and hoped that the event would be organized as well as in previous years. In turn, the chairman of the organizing committee of the tournament said that he was extremely flattered by the consent of the world champion to participate in the competition.
Dubai Desert Classic with a prize pool of more than one and a half million euros, which is a stage of the European Tour, will be held in the emirate for the 17th time. Next year it will be a month earlier than usual. The tournament will bring together 120 athletes from more than 20 countries.
