Dubai senior officials go to work by subway

In Dubai, a traditional action takes place - a day without a car.

Today, in the Dubai metro, one could meet ministers, department heads and other high-ranking officials of the emirate. They left their cars at home and went to work by public transport. So Dubai spends the 9th Day without a car.

The atmosphere in the city was festive. Many participants left the subway near government buildings in Deira with flags or makeshift banners in support of the initiative.

Dr. Thani Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister for Climate Change and the Environment, joined Hussein Nasser Luta, Director General of Dubai Municipality, and heads of various government departments.

Senior officials took the metro from Etisalat Station to Union Station. Union Metro Park hosts a festive celebration.
