Canal Central Hotel opens in Dubai.

Another luxury hotel will open its doors in Dubai this year - the Canal Central Hotel in Business Bay will be launched during Eid al-Fitr in mid-June as part of a technical launch.

The hotel has 280 rooms and suites with views of the Dubai Canal and Burj Khalifa, as well as meeting rooms, a gym and spa, a panoramic pool and lounges for men and women.

Restaurants will be located at the hotel, including the 24-hour Marrakesh Restaurant, By The Bay, a poolside restaurant, Den Sports Bar, and the Majlis Lounge in the lobby. Lilly's Social House will host jazz nights.

The hotel is operated by Central Hotels, which currently operates the First Central Hotel Suites in Barsha Heights.

This month, the company also intends to open another new luxury hotel - Royal Central The Palm, located on Palm Jumeirah. The beach resort has 207 rooms with private facilities, including an outdoor pool, gym and wellness center.

Central Hotels plans to further open new facilities in Dubai, including Central House Citywalk, which will focus on millennials; Novotel The Palm; Diamond Central - Business Bay and Island Central.

The number of hotels in Dubai continues to grow; there is still room for new luxury hotels in the market. According to a recent Knight Frank report, 57 percent of hotels in the emirate are either four- or five-star. 49 percent of new hotel projects under development are also in the middle, upper and luxury segments.

In the first quarter of this year, 4.7 million tourists were registered in Dubai, which is 2 percent more than in the previous year.
