Dubai police fleet replenished with new supercar

Dubai police showcased a new supercar from their fleet.

The luxurious Maserati GranTurismo has become the new police car in Dubai. This was announced on Tuesday, May 14th.

The car is equipped with a 4.7-liter four-cylinder V8 engine with 460 hp. It can reach speeds of up to 300 kilometers per hour. The new Maserati was provided by Al Tayer Motors.

Now the Dubai police fleet has 15 supercars, including the McLaren MP4-12C, Bugatti Veyron, Bentley Continental GT, Audi R8, Mercedes G class Brabus, Nissan GTR, Mercedes SL 63 and the extremely rare Aston Martin One-77.

Maj. Gen. Abdullah Khalifa Al-Marri, Dubai Police Commander-in-Chief, said luxury cars in the fleet help realize plans to increase police presence in tourist areas such as Burj Khalifa, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard, Jumeirah Beach Residence (JBR).
