A site has been launched in the United Arab Emirates to collect information on animal cruelty.
The UAE Ministry of Climate and Environmental Change has launched a bilingual website on animal rights and health, as well as food safety.
The new system allows residents to report infectious diseases of pets, cases of cruelty to animals, illegal possession of dangerous animals, poor-quality veterinary services, and so on.
In the food safety section, anyone can report incidents, such as the sale of expired goods.
Upon receipt of the message, the inspectors initiate further action. Daily incident reports will be sent to the appropriate government departments to ensure a quick response.
