ON THE NOVEMBER 9, THE LE THEATER DIOR EXHIBITION STARTS IN DUBAI, WHICH MORE THAN 60 EXACT MINIATURE COPIES OF THE MOST FAMOUS HAUTE COUTURE WORKS WILL BE PRESENTED.

The Dior Theater will help restore more than half a century of sewing high-class clothing of the eminent House. This exhibition has 12 topics: The New Look, The Dior Allure, The Dior Garden, Miss Dior, From Pink to Red, Paris, The Dior Atelier, Dior and his Artistic Friends, Versailles: the Trianon, J'Adore, The Grand Dior Bal and Stars in Dior. Each of them is an invitation to discover an important period of French fashion and understand its impact on modern style.

Part of the exhibition, for example, is dedicated to the New Look revolution - the first Christian Dior haute couture collection, presented to the public on February 12, 1947 in Paris. She marked the abandonment of the ascetic and masculine style of the post-war era and marked the beginning of an emphasis on feminine fashion. After that, they began to call Dior the "couture architect" - after all, he invented an instantly recognizable silhouette, at the same time ultramodern, structural and romantic.

Who was that very elegant girl who was idolized by the French couturier? Surely it was a Parisian to the core. She could change the images seven or eight times a day, prescribing the appropriate dress code for each situation. Morning, noon, cocktail, dinner, evening in an informal setting, gala concert, ball - Dior dreamed of seeing a woman with an active lifestyle, who nevertheless remains sophisticated in any setting. Exactly Paris style, which many fashionistas strive for today, is dedicated to the Paris exposition.

Working on the silhouette, Christian Dior came to the conclusion that a cocktail dress is one of the most practical elements of the wardrobe - something between a day look and an evening look. It does not make the figure heavier and always looks festive. Among the creations of the designer presented in the Paris theme, the Petit Diner model (“Little Dinner”) from the Autumnzyme 1948 collection stands out especially. This is a cocktail dress with a fantastic drapery and frill, which is ideally suited to the format of events where guests communicate standing ...

Many years later, when the Belgian Raf Simons became the creative head of the House, he decided to rework the Dior archives and also create his own version of the perfect cocktail ensemble. Simons became the founder of the nouvelle couture ("new couture"), and the cocktail outfit of the 2012 collection appeared at the Paris Fashion Week in the form of a structural black mini dress, presented in an ensemble with strict cut trousers. Its miniature version can also be seen at the exhibition.

Each dress is a work of art by great masters who worked at one time on haute couture collections for the Fashion House. Among them are the work of designers such as Yves Saint Laurent, Marc Boan, Gianfranco Ferre and John Galliano. Mini-versions of their original works, even the earliest ones, were recreated by the couture ateliers of Dior House with exact proportions, sewing techniques, materials and design elements.

Le Theater Dior will be held November 9-24 on the Fashion Catwalk catwalk at The Dubai Mall. The entrance is free.
