Bahamas, mom ...

The Bahamas, washed by the warm waters of the Gulf Stream, have long been synonymous with luxury relaxation. Spread on 2500 reefs and 700 islands, they are a large offshore zone, and gambling does not stop here around the clock. Each island is replete with restaurants, bars and many shops. The capital of the state is the city of Nassau, a large cultural and commercial center

Here is the famous Woods Rogers embankment, named after the first royal governor and former pirate. In Roson Square is the famous Churchill House, where the government sits, as well as the Royal Staircase with waterfalls leading to the Bennet hills with the Fincastle Fortress, built in 1793 by Lord Dunmore.

Atlantis Hotel was built here, very similar to the one built on the man-made island of The Palm Jumeirah in Dubai. One of the best hotels in the One & Only Ocean Club resort is decorated with Versailles gardens, transported from France in the XIV century to the United States, and then, during the Great Depression, moved to the Bahamas.

There are 25 nature reserves on the islands, where exotic species of animals and birds live - dolphins, iguanas and pink flamingos. These places are chosen by lovers of diving, sailing and fishing.

Vietnam Open Air Museum

The cozy Vietnamese town of Hoi An is called an open-air museum. In 1999, it was recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site as an example of the trading city of Southeast Asia of the XVXIX centuries, on its territory - almost 900 historical buildings. Here you can admire ancient Chinese houses and temples, assembly palaces.

A number of wooden buildings date from the first half of the 19th century and give visitors the opportunity to feel the atmosphere of past centuries when the marina was filled with sailing ships and the streets were teeming with porters carrying goods from one warehouse to another, merchants from dozens of countries, speaking many languages. One of the main attractions of this town is a covered Japanese bridge, erected, according to legend, on the "Achilles heel" of the monster Ku, whose head was in India, the tail in Japan, and the body in Vietnam. Whenever the monster moved, terrible disasters - floods and earthquakes - shook Vietnam. The bridge was supposed to help get rid of the Ku monster, but people took pity on the monster and built a temple to pray for his soul.

Hoi An was the first place in Vietnam where Christianity appeared. It is also known for its cotton weaving: spinning mills scattered around the county date back to Victorian England. The ideal time to visit this tourist mecca is a warm summer.

To visit the neighbors

In the ancient city of Salalah, located in Dofar, the southern province of Oman, there is history at every turn. Once a beautiful palace was erected here, which belongs to the famous Queen of Sheba, and in the mountains you can find the grave of the biblical prophet Job.

Despite the fact that the city is surrounded on three sides by the Arabian desert, in summer there is a temperate climate dominated by monsoon winds blowing from the southeast. That is why residents of neighboring countries prefer to wait out the summer heat here, enjoying a pleasant cool.

Salalah, lying on the famous "Incense Way", is considered the perfumery capital of Arabia. Every year, 1.5 thousand tons of frankincense juice is extracted here. In the vicinity of the city, papaya, mango, mimosa, aloe and tamarisk bloom, cacti, coconut palms and mangrove trees grow along the coast, in the lagoons you can find ibis and flamingos.

In the immediate vicinity of the resort stretches the Jebel Ahdar mountain range, often visited by noble people. So, one of the peaks is named after Princess Diana, who was also a guest of these places.
