Dubai Design Week 2016: Epic Return

Dubai Design Week - the main event in the cultural life of the emirate - will again be held in the emirate from October 24 to 29. In her second edition, she will receive more than 550 designers who will delight guests with their innovative ideas and projects over six days.

This year, Dubai Design Week doubled in size. Moreover, more than 150 events throughout the emirate will be held within the framework of it, including:

Downtown Design Fair (October 25-28), which will bring together 104 brands from 28 countries around the world, including Kettal, Sancal, Swarovski, Bernhardt, Siematic, Georg Jensen, Gaggenau and Arclinea.

The largest exhibition of design innovations Global Grad Show, ready to present 145 projects from 50 universities in the world.

The ABWAB exhibition, dedicated to the development of design in six countries of the Middle East, Africa and Asia: Algeria, Bahrain, India, Iraq, Palestine and the UAE - in six thematic pavilions, united by the theme "Human Feelings".

An iconic exhibition dedicated to Cairo called Cairo Today. An Unfinished City (ICONIC CITY: CAIRO NOW! CITY INCOMPLETE), curated by architect and writer Muhammad Elshahed, bringing together 65 Egyptian architects, designers, and graphic artists.

Installations throughout the city, including the area around the tallest building in the world - the Burj Khalifa skyscraper, made with the support of such galleries and brands as: Swarovski, Tashkeel, 1971 - Design Space, Caravan, Galeries Lafayette, etc.

Discussions and workshops, including a meeting with the iconic contemporary architect Santiago Calatrava.

A family weekend (October 28 and 29), which will bring together children and parents in the d3 community for doll crafts and live performances.
